CoE Smart Agriculture Visits Partner Joe Cipir Cattle Farm in Jati Indah Village, Tanjung Bintang District, South Lampung

The Center of Excellence for Smart Agriculture at Teknokrat Indonesia University (UTI) once again conducted a partner visit to Joe Cipir Cattle Farm, located in Jati Indah Village, Tanjung Bintang District, South Lampung. This activity aimed to strengthen collaboration while identifying opportunities to support the development of appropriate technology for livestock-based waste management. During the visit, the CoE Smart Agriculture team observed the process of managing cattle waste, particularly its conversion into organic fertilizer. In response to the needs identified at the partner farm, the team proposed the development of a fertilizer sieving device designed to improve the quality and efficiency of compost production derived from cow manure. This tool is expected to help separate fine and coarse materials, resulting in more uniform and higher-quality organic fertilizer. The team also engaged in discussions with the farm owner regarding the design, functionality, and implementation of the proposed device. This collaboration reflects a practical application of smart agriculture principles, where technology is utilized to solve real challenges faced by local farmers. By introducing an efficient sieving system, the initiative aims to enhance productivity, reduce manual labor, and increase the economic value of the produced fertilizer. The visit was warmly welcomed by the partner, fostering an interactive exchange of ideas and experiences. This activity not only strengthened the partnership between the institution and the local farm but also marked an important step toward developing innovative and sustainable agricultural solutions. CoE Smart Agriculture Visits BSF Maggot Hut STBM Partner in Jati Indah Village, Tanjung Bintang District, South Lampung

The Center of Excellence for Smart Agriculture at Teknokrat Indonesia University (UTI) once again carried out a field visit activity to its partner, the BSF Maggot Hut STBM, located in Jati Indah Village, Tanjung Bintang District, South Lampung. This visit aimed to strengthen collaboration and observe directly the implementation of sustainable waste management practices through the cultivation of Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggots. During the visit, the CoE Smart Agriculture team explored the maggot cultivation process, starting from organic waste collection, larval growth management, to the harvesting stage. The BSF maggot system serves as an innovative and eco-friendly solution for converting organic waste into valuable products such as animal feed and organic fertilizer. Through discussions and hands-on observation, participants gained deeper insights into how this method contributes to environmental sustainability and supports local economic development. The activity was warmly welcomed by the partner, with interactive discussions taking place between the team and local practitioners. This visit not only strengthened institutional partnerships but also provided practical knowledge and real-world experience in sustainable agriculture and waste management. It is expected that this collaboration will continue to grow and inspire the development of innovative, environmentally friendly agricultural practices in the future.

Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, through the Metaverse Center of Excellence (JUARAMETA), conducted a Community Service Program (PKM) titled “AI for Metaverse Creation” at SMAN 3 Tulang Bawang Tengah.

The activity was enthusiastically attended by students through a presentation on the use of AI in creating 3D assets, hands-on practice in developing virtual worlds using Roblox Studio, and a direct experience trying a VR Headset to explore the metaverse. Lecturers and Students of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia Conduct Mini Solar Car Training at MAN 1 Bandar Lampung

Lecturers and students from the Electrical Engineering Department of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia once again carried out a Community Service Program (PKM) as part of the university’s commitment to supporting educational development and technological advancement among students. This activity was held at MAN 1 Bandar Lampung through a Mini Solar Car training workshop. The program aimed to inspire and foster young students’ interest in science and technology, particularly in the field of renewable energy. During the activity, students were introduced to the basic concepts of solar energy and its potential as an environmentally friendly alternative energy source. In addition to receiving theoretical explanations, the students were also invited to participate in a hands-on training session assembling Mini Solar Cars powered by solar panels. Through this practical experience, students were able to understand how sunlight can be converted into electrical energy and then used to power a small vehicle. Throughout the activity, the students showed great enthusiasm. They actively asked questions, engaged in discussions, and carefully followed each step of the assembly process. This demonstrated that the training not only provided new knowledge but also encouraged curiosity and strengthened students’ interest in technology. The supervising lecturer stated that the Mini Solar Car training is part of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia’s commitment to improving scientific and technological literacy among students, while also introducing the concept of renewable energy utilization from an early age. Through this community service activity, it is hoped that students will gain broader insights into solar energy technology and become motivated to continue learning and innovating in the fields of science and technology in the future. Electrical Engineering Students of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia Conduct Community Service Program at SMAN 1 Mesuji Timur

The Community Service Program (PKM) organized by the Electrical Engineering Department of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia was once again successfully carried out as a form of the university’s commitment to contributing to society. This time, the activity took place at SMAN 1 Mesuji Timur, focusing on the utilization of renewable energy through the assembly of an automatic fan powered by a solar panel. The program involved lecturers and students from the Electrical Engineering Department who shared their knowledge and practical skills with the students of SMAN 1 Mesuji Timur. During the session, participants were introduced to the basic concepts of solar energy and how simple technology can be utilized to generate environmentally friendly electrical power. In addition to theoretical explanations, the students were also invited to directly participate in a hands-on workshop assembling an automatic fan powered by solar panels. Through this practical activity, the students were able to understand how sunlight can be converted into electrical energy and then used to operate electronic devices. The enthusiasm of the students from SMAN 1 Mesuji Timur was clearly visible throughout the activity. They actively asked questions and eagerly followed each step of the assembly process. The Center of Excellence for Smart Agriculture at Teknokrat Indonesia University (UTI) once again held a Community Service activity at MAN 1 Metro. During this activity, the COE team presented an innovative Internet of Things (IoT)-based drip irrigation device, a smart agricultural solution capable of automatically and efficiently regulating plant watering, based on digital technology. Through interactive presentations and live demonstrations of the device, students were introduced to how the system works, helping farmers save water, time, and energy by utilizing modern technology. The activity was enthusiastically received by the students, who actively participated in every session, from the introduction of the concept to the implementation of the device in the field. In addition to broadening their knowledge, this activity also provided practical experience that opened their eyes to how IoT technology can be applied in modern agriculture. This activity was designed to provide an inspiring and practical learning platform in the field of the Internet of Things (IoT), specifically in supporting the development of smart agricultural technology. Through interactive delivery methods combined with hands-on practice and simple case studies, students were encouraged to understand IoT concepts in a way that was easier, more enjoyable, and more relevant to current technological developments. From beginning to end, the students demonstrated tremendous enthusiasm.
