Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia continues to improve its Research and Research as a form of Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. In the context of implementing the Research Grant from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology 2024 with the title V-Commerce Technology: Metaverse-Based MSME Innovation. Friday, August 30, 2024. This research will produce a Metaverse architecture for virtual-based trade innovation. with the research team including:    1. Dr. Ryan Randy Suryono, M.Kom. (Chief Researcher)    2. Defia Riski Anggraini, SE, M.Si. (Research Member)    3. Qadhli Jafar Adrian MIT (Research Member)    4. Yuri Rahmanto, M.Kom. (Research Member)    5. Student Metaverse Team. The implementation of research into UMKM Askha Jaya’s Oleh-Oleh Center is one of the data collection activities in supporting the research being carried out. At the time of the research, Aska as the owner of UMKM Askha Jaya and Mr. Raushan as the Manager of the Technocratic University of Indonesia Metaverse try were accompanied by the Student Team.

The Metaverse Team of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia (UTI) launched the Metaschool of Al Kautsar High School in Bandar Lampung on Thursday, August 22, 2024, in the meeting room of the Al Kautsar Foundation Office. Al Kautsar High School is the first school in Indonesia that will implement virtual learning via metaverse. The launch of Al Kautsar High School Metaschool was attended by UTI Vice Rector Dr. H. Mahathir Muhammad, SE, MM, UTI Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Achmad Yudi Wahyudin, M.Pd, UTI Vice Rector for Cooperation and General Affairs Dr. Ryan Randy Suryono, M.Kom, and UTI Metaverse lecturer Yuri Rahmanto, M.Kom, along with seven students of the Informatics S-1 Study Program. From Al Kautsar, the Chairman of Al Kautsar Foundation Wagiso, SE, MM, Head of Al Kautsar High School Eko Anzair, M.Si., along with the teachers, and representatives of Al Kautsar High School students were present. In his speech, dR. Mahathir said that the making of the Al Kautsar High School Metaschool was a research and community service activity carried out by a team of UTI lecturers and students. UTI itself has implemented the lecture process and thesis examination via metaverse. UTI students are required to attend lectures via metaverse three times, and make transactions using bitcoin. “We are very welcome to develop this metaverse further. If there are competitions to make game applications or animations at the national level, we are also ready to provide guidance,” said Dr. Mahathir. Al Kautsar Foundation Chairman Wagiso thanked UTI for appointing Al Kautsar High School as the first school to use metaverse technology through the Metaschool platform. He recognized UTI’s excellence in the field of information and communication technology. UTI has been a regular winner of national and even international robotics competitions. “We want to learn from Teknokrat about this information and communication technology. Because, Al Kautsar continues to improve from manual to modern by utilizing information technology,” he said.

Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia received a visit from SMP IT Auladina Indonesia. This visit is an annual routine activity carried out by IT Auladina Junior High School to Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia. In 2023, Auladina IT Junior High School learned about Robotics, and in 2024, Auladina IT Junior High School learned about Metaverse for Education at Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia. Auladina IT Junior High School students are very enthusiastic about learning Metaverse for Education, students are taught directly how to create a Metaverse space room, and feel the sensation of surfing and interacting in the Metaverse world.

Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia together with the Indonesian Rectors Forum provided a workshop on Metaverse for Education and Digital Learning in the Learning Process to teachers and students of SMAN 2 Tumijajar @sman2tumijajar Tulang Bawang Barat, Lampung. The students and teachers of SMAN 2 Tumijajar were welcomed by the Vice Rector IV for Cooperation and General Affairs of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, Dr. Ryan Randy Suryono, M.Kom. The visit of SMAN 2 Tumijajar to Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia was to increase the knowledge and experience of students who were introduced to Metaverse for Education… A total of 200 students, and 7 teachers enthusiastically participated in the workshop given by Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia. The Metaverse for Education material was delivered directly by a lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science (FTIK) of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, Ridwan Mahenra, S.Kom., M.C.S (AI). who was accompanied by the UTI Metaverse Development team students. In addition to Providing Workshop Material, students and teachers are also invited to tour the facilities at Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia such as: Digital Business Laboratory, E-Learning Studio, GSG Dr. HM Nasrullah Yusuf, Tekno Park, and FSIP Building of Universitas Teknorkat Indonesia. Universitas Teknokrat Indonesiaa would like to thank the support of SMAN 2 Tumijajar School so that this activity runs smoothly. The students enthusiastically participated in this activity until it was completed. Vice Rector Dr. H. Mahathir Muhammad SE., MM. hopes that this activity will be increased in quantity. Thus, many educators are able to operate such learning media. Thus, there is hope of improving the quality of education in Lampung. Dr. Mahathir said that the campus fully supports all activities based on community service. Especially to the educational elements in Lampung Province.

A total of 40 students, and 3 teachers enthusiastically participated in the workshop provided by Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia. The provision of Metaverse for Education material was delivered directly by the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science (FTIK) Lecturer at Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, Donaya Pasha, M.Kom. who was accompanied by the UTI Metaverse Development team Students. In addition to providing workshop materials, students and teachers were also invited to tour the facilities at Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia such as: Digital Business Laboratory, E-Learning Studio, GSG Dr. HM Nasrullah Yusuf, Tekno Park, and FSIP Building of Universitas Teknorkat Indonesia. Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia would like to thank the support of SMKN 1 Menggala School so that this activity runs smoothly. The students enthusiastically followed this activity to completion. Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, ASEAN’s Best PTS, held a welcoming ceremony for the Inbound Student Exchange (PMM) Participants of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia at the Auditorium of the Teknokrat A building. Saturday, (24/04/2024). 66 PMM Batch 4 participants received workshop material on metaverse for education delivered by Engineering and Computer Science faculty lecturer, Yuri Rahmanto, M.Kom.

Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia Best PTS ASEAN received a visit from SMK N 1 Kota Bumi @smkn1ktb North Lampung, Wednesday, January 24, 2024. The visit of SMK N 1 Kota Bumi was welcomed and opened directly by the Vice Rector IV for Cooperation & General Affairs of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, Dr. Ryan Randy, M.Kom. During this visit, Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia provided workshops on Digital Marketing and the introduction of Metaverse for Education Technology and A.I. Technology to more than 50 school students and 6 accompanying teachers who attended this visit. The Digital Marketing material was delivered by Febrian Eko Saputra, MM. and the introduction of Metaverse for Education Technology was delivered by students from the Technokrat Indonesia University Metaverse development team. The Vice Chancellor of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, Dr. H Mahathir Muhammad, SE, MM. expressed his gratitude to SMK N 1 Kota Bumi for giving trust and making a visit to Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia to be able to provide knowledge and insight to its students. “Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia will continue to be committed to improving the quality of education in Indonesia, especially Lampung Province. The rapid development of technology must also make us more quickly adapt and pursue it.” Dr. Mahathir said.

Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia Best PTS ASEAN received a visit from SMK Al Iman Banjar Agung @smk_aliman Tulang Bawang, Lampung. The visit of SMK Al Iman was welcomed and opened directly by the Vice Rector IV for Cooperation & General Affairs of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, Dr. Ryan Randy, M.Kom. During this visit, Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia provided a workshop on the introduction of Metaverse for Education Technology and A.I. Technology to 85 school students and 9 accompanying teachers who attended this visit. The introduction of Metaverse Technology for Education was delivered directly by the head of Metaverse developer of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, Yusra Fernando, M.Kom. The Vice Chancellor of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, Dr. H Mahathir Muhammad, SE., MM. expressed his gratitude to SMK Al Iman Banjar Agung for giving trust and making a visit to Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia to be able to provide knowledge and insight to its students. “Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia will continue to be committed to improving the quality of education in Indonesia, especially Lampung Province. The rapid development of technology must also make us more quickly adapt and pursue it.” Dr. Mahathir said.

SMK 17 Sukoharjo Pringsewu traveled to Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia with the aim of introducing college programs to students, in order to expand their knowledge and understanding. The visit was held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, from 09.00 to 11.00 WIB, located at the GA Auditorium on the campus. The event was attended by around a hundred people, consisting of students, students, and accompanying teachers. The group was welcomed by a representative of the Rector of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, Dr. HM Nasrullah Yusuf SE MBA, who was represented by Dr. Heri Kuswoyo MHum, Dean of the Faculty of Letters and Education, and accompanied by Parjito MCs. The series of events of the visit consisted of a presentation on the introduction of metaverse technology and AI technology delivered by Yuri Rahmanto MKom. Furthermore, there was a visit and introduction to the facilities and infrastructure owned by Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia. The students and teachers were invited to tour several places at Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, including the aviary, solar panels, dinosaur landmarks, UTI Jurassic, Dr. HM Nasrullah Yusuf Student Center, UTI learning studio, FTIK, FSIP, and FEB buildings. Himmatus Sholihah SIP MPd, Head of SMK 17 Sukoharjo Pringsewu, expressed her delight at the opportunity to visit Teknokrat. She revealed that the students were very impressed with the facilities there. In addition to the impressive buildings, the other infrastructure facilities are also very comprehensive and impressive. Dr. Heri Kuswoyo MHum, who represented the Rector, also expressed his gratitude for the visit. According to him, Teknokrat strongly supports all forms of cooperation aimed at improving the quality of Indonesia’s human resources, especially in Lampung. Dr. H. Mahathir Muhammad SE MM, Vice Rector, also responded positively to the visit. He was very happy to be a good host for the students.

Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia continues to innovate in the development of the learning process. One of its latest steps is to implement the world’s first thesis examination session via Metaverse. By utilizing Metaverse technology, students can attend the thesis examination session virtually, without having to be physically present in the courtroom. This not only makes it easier for students, but also provides an exciting new experience in undergoing the academic process. Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia is committed to continue introducing innovative ideas like this to improve the quality of learning and student experience. Metaverse is a concept that describes a virtual world that transcends the boundaries of time and space. The term refers to an immersive digital environment, where users can interact and communicate with virtual worlds that are connected to the real world. The Metaverse offers a more immersive and interactive experience, allowing users to explore, interact and collaborate with others through their avatars. The concept encompasses various platforms and technologies such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality systems, which provide near-real-life experiences. Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia made history by conducting the first thesis examination session in the world through Metaverse. A student named Wayan Kresna Yogi Swara (S1 Informatika) became the first student to undergo this thesis examination session with his supervisor Dr. (can) Heni Sulistiani, M.Kom. and examiner Dr. Si. Dedi Darwis, M.Kom.. In the trial, Wayan was able to deliver a virtual thesis presentation, interact with the supervisor and examiner, and answer questions smoothly.
