Civil Engineering Students of Teknokrat University Won 3rd National Champion in the K3 Poster Design Competition in the Electrical World

Hello, fellow champions… Students at Teknokrat University made another national achievement. Imannuel Ricky, a student of the Civil Engineering S1 Study Program at Teknokrat University, won 3rd place in the National Poster Design Competition organized by the Faculty of Engineering, Gorontalo State University, with the theme “The Importance of Occupational Safety and Health in the Electrical World.”. The student, who is often called Ricky, expressed his gratitude to Teknokrat University for always supporting the competition process. “Praise the Lord, this is my first achievement. I am grateful to be able to participate in this competition and achieve national achievement,” said Ricky, proud of his achievement. Vice Rector of Teknokrat University, Dr. H. Mahathir Muhammad, SE, MM, expressed his pride in Ricky for his achievement. “Hopefully, this achievement can inspire other Teknokrat University students to continue to shine in the national arena according to their interests and talents,” Mahathir said.

Improving Basic Skills in Building Construction: Teknokrat Holds Wall Work Training

Hello, fellow champions… Teknokrat University Best PTS ASEAN continues to support its students to be able to develop skills in building construction. The Civil Engineering S1 Study Program of Teknokrat University held a wall work training with the theme “Improving Basic Skills in Building Construction” at the Gedung Meneng Techno Park Research Center. December 2 and 4, 2023. This activity was held for the new generation of Civil Engineering students to improve their basic knowledge in the field of construction, especially the procedures for installing bricks and wall plaster. This training was opened directly by the head of the civil engineering S1 study program, Ir. Dian Pratiwi, ST., M.Eng., accompanied by civil engineering lecturers. The Vice Rector of Teknokrat University, Dr. Mahathir Muhammad, SE, MM, said that this activity aims to improve the ability and experience of students in the field of building construction. “In addition to learning about civil engineering, students are expected to understand the basis of building a building or building to be sturdy and neat.” Dr. Mahathir said.

The 6th Anniversary of Civil Engineering as well as the Inauguration of the Student Association Management

Teknokrat University Best PTS ASEAN continues to support its students to be able to develop, have a leadership spirit, and have good experience. The Civil Engineering Study Program of the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science (FTIK) of Teknokrat University held its anniversary as well as the inauguration of the Student Association Management. The anniversary and the inauguration of the management were inaugurated directly by the Vice Dean III for Student Affairs of FTIK, Auliya Rahman Isnain, S.Kom., M.Cs. In his remarks, Vice Dean III conveyed the role of students in building the university. “Students of Teknokrat University must be students who have noble characters and are useful for the community, so that students can be looked forward to by the community when they graduate later,” said the Vice Dean.

Teknokrat University Student Winner, 2nd NationalNational Internet of Things (IoT) Competition

Teknokrat University Computer Engineering students once again brought national-level achievements. Team Kohid Internet of Things (IoT) Lili Andraini, Izudin Ismail, and Indra Kurniawan of the class of 2019 competed in the IoT event at Mercu Buana University in 2022. With strong motivation from the Kohid team and mentor Ade Surahman, M.Kom. Indonesian Technocrat University students won 2nd place in the following order:1st Place: Telkom University (Tel-U)2nd Place: Teknokrat University (UTI)3rd Place: Caltex Riau Polytechnic (PCR)Hope 1: Caltex Riau Polytechnic (PCR)Hope 2: Surabaya State Electronics Polytechnic (PENS)Hope 3: Multimedia Nusantara University (UMN) The Kohid team made a hydroponic suitcase that can grow vegetables indoors and does not require sunlight. This is useful for food security in cities where there is limited land for agriculture and can also be applied in countries with four seasons where in winter it is not possible to garden or grow vegetables. So the Kohid team is making a contribution to Indonesia with the concept of indoor gardening. The Head of the Computer Engineering Study Program, Styawati, M.Cs., expressed extraordinary appreciation for the results obtained by the Computer Engineering students, as did the competition supervisor, Ade Surahman, M.Kom., who congratulated the students and the Head of the Study Program, who always provided extraordinary support for the competition.

Students from Indonesian Technocrat University have won the first national scientific writing competition

The Best Teknokrat University, PTS ASEAN, has once again made a proud achievement at the national level. Students from the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, Teknokrat University, won 1st place in the National Scientific Writing competition, which was held online at Brawijaya University. Students who won national championships include Ryan Pujii Cahyono (2019), Muhammad Farhan (2019), and Nadya Safitri (2019), all three of whom are undergraduate students in computer engineering. Ryan Cs won 1st place by presenting a scientific paper entitled “Internet of Things-Based Egg Hatching.” and managed to beat the Army Polytechnic in 2nd place and the Indonesian Education University in 3rd place. Deputy Chancellor of the Indonesian Technocrat University, Dr. H Mahathir Muhammad, SE., MM, expressed his gratitude for the 1st place achievement achieved by Ryan, Farhan, and Nadiya in the Scientific Writing competition.

Hosting a Visit from IT AL-Firdaus High School, Teknokrat Conducts a Workshop on Metaverse for Education

Hello Champions, Teknokrat University welcomed a visit from IT AL-FIRDAUS High School in Lampung on Thursday, May 25, 2023. Led by the Head of IT AL-FIRDAUS High School, Ani Himah Wisuda, S.Pd.I., the visit to Teknokrat University was greeted by Achmad Yudi Wahyudin, M.Pd., Vice Rector IV for Cooperation and General Affairs. During the visit, representatives from IT AL-FIRDAUS High School and Teknokrat University signed a Memorandum of Understanding, facilitated by the head of IT AL-FIRDAUS High School and the Vice Rector IV. The purpose of this visit was to provide insights to students and teachers about the latest educational technology implemented by Teknokrat University. The Head of IT at AL-FIRDAUS High School hoped that the visit would broaden the students’ and teachers’ knowledge about rapidly evolving technology, allowing them to adapt quickly. “Until now, students at IT AL-FIRDAUS High School have primarily focused on memorizing the Quran. With this visit to Teknokrat University, our hope is that students can expand their knowledge about technology to balance both technological and religious knowledge,” expressed the Head of IT at AL-FIRDAUS High School. The Vice Rector IV of Teknokrat University welcomed the visit and emphasized the university’s continuous development of metaverse technology innovation for the education sector. He highlighted Teknokrat’s recent world-first launch of a virtual thesis defense session via Metaverse. The material provided to students also focused on the metaverse for education. Achmad Yudi Wahyudin, M.P.D., further stated that as millennials, it’s crucial for us to swiftly adapt to the rapid technological advancements to avoid falling behind.

The Enthusiasm of YPI Vocational High School Students in Receiving the Introduction to Metaverse for Education Material

Hello Champions… Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia (UTI), the Best Private Higher Education Institution in ASEAN, organized the program “Teknokrat Goes to School” with the theme “Metaverse for Education” at YPI Tanjung Bintang Vocational High School, South Lampung, on Thursday (10/8). This program is a form of community service (PKM) aimed at introducing technology in the form of a metaverse that can be used for learning. The metaverse is a virtual community where people can meet, communicate, work, and even shop. Through this metaverse, individuals can be part of a community without the need for land, water, or air travel. This technological advancement was developed by Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia to be utilized in education. Currently, students are more interested in learning through audio-visual media and mobile phones. In this activity, students had the opportunity to create avatars, guided by a team of lecturers and students. The students were very enthusiastic and eager because they would be able to virtually be at Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia through the avatars they created. The material was delivered by Donaya Pasha, M.Comp., and students assisted those who faced challenges during the activity. Furthermore, this program is also a practical action to help schools implement the digitization of learning due to rapidly advancing technology. Therefore, there is a need for efforts to apply technology, especially in the field of education. On one occasion, Vice Rector of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, Dr. H Mahathir Muhammad, SE., MM., mentioned that, regarding research and development of the metaverse, Teknokrat will continue to contribute to the development of education in Indonesia by developing the application of technology for education. Moreover, this activity is a collaboration between the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, the Indonesian Rectors Forum, and Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia under the theme “Movement to Introduce Metaverse-Based Educational Games to Improve Digital Literacy.”

Workshop on Utilizing Metaverse Technology for Sports

Hello Champions, Teknokrat University, the best private higher education institution in ASEAN, encourages its students to adapt to technological advancements. The Metaverse Development Team at the university conducted a workshop on the utilization of metaverse technology for sports for Teknokrat University students on Monday, August 14, 2023. This workshop was led by the Head of Metaverse Development at Teknokrat University, Yuri Rahmanto, S.Kom., M.Kom., and moderated by Sports Education Lecturer Imam Mahfud, M.Pd. Dr. H. Mahathir Muhammad, SE., MM., Vice Rector of Teknokrat University, expressed appreciation for the university’s Metaverse development team. “This activity marks the initial steps in introducing VR and metaverse development for sports. With this technology, individuals can experience the sensation of their desired sports while reducing the risk of injury,” stated Dr. Mahathir.

Proudly, Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia Receives Award for Innovation in Thesis Defense Sessions via Metaverse

Hello Champions… Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia has received an award for successfully implementing thesis defense sessions via the metaverse. The award was presented at the Tribun Lampung Award 2023 event held at Grand Elty, South Lampung, on Wednesday evening (August 23, 2023). The award was directly received by the Rector of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, Dr. HM. Nasrullah Yusuf, SE., MBA. Tribun Lampung bestowed this award as a form of appreciation for Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia’s successful implementation of thesis defense sessions via the metaverse. Ridwan Hardiansyah, the Chief Editor of Tribunlampung, explained that the Tribun Lampung Award 2023 was given to stakeholders in Lampung, including local government, vertical institutions in Lampung, and the private sector, who have successfully created breakthroughs or innovations in advancing Lampung. The innovation of Thesis Defense Sessions via Metaverse by Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia may have become a pioneering initiative globally in this innovative breakthrough. Therefore, it is hoped that this award will inspire the emergence of new innovations in the future, as innovation becomes crucial in facing the ongoing changes of the times. Adapting to the development of the times is a necessity. Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia continues to innovate in the development of education, one of which is through the implementation of thesis defense sessions via the metaverse. Metaverse technology allows students to participate in thesis defense sessions virtually without the need to be physically present at the session location.
