Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia implemented Kemendikbudristek Research Grant with the title V-Commerce Technology: Metaverse-Based MSME Innovation

Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia continues to improve its Research and Research as a form of Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. In the context of implementing the Research Grant from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology 2024 with the title V-Commerce Technology: Metaverse-Based MSME Innovation. Friday, August 30, 2024. This research will produce a Metaverse architecture for virtual-based trade innovation. with the research team including:    1. Dr. Ryan Randy Suryono, M.Kom. (Chief Researcher)    2. Defia Riski Anggraini, SE, M.Si. (Research Member)    3. Qadhli Jafar Adrian MIT (Research Member)    4. Yuri Rahmanto, M.Kom. (Research Member)    5. Student Metaverse Team. The implementation of research into UMKM Askha Jaya’s Oleh-Oleh Center is one of the data collection activities in supporting the research being carried out. At the time of the research, Aska as the owner of UMKM Askha Jaya and Mr. Raushan as the Manager of the Technocratic University of Indonesia Metaverse try were accompanied by the Student Team.

Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia Launches AI Kautsar High School Metaschool, the first Metaverse School in Indonesia

The Metaverse Team of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia (UTI) launched the Metaschool of Al Kautsar High School in Bandar Lampung on Thursday, August 22, 2024, in the meeting room of the Al Kautsar Foundation Office. Al Kautsar High School is the first school in Indonesia that will implement virtual learning via metaverse. The launch of Al Kautsar High School Metaschool was attended by UTI Vice Rector Dr. H. Mahathir Muhammad, SE, MM, UTI Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Achmad Yudi Wahyudin, M.Pd, UTI Vice Rector for Cooperation and General Affairs Dr. Ryan Randy Suryono, M.Kom, and UTI Metaverse lecturer Yuri Rahmanto, M.Kom, along with seven students of the Informatics S-1 Study Program. From Al Kautsar, the Chairman of Al Kautsar Foundation Wagiso, SE, MM, Head of Al Kautsar High School Eko Anzair, M.Si., along with the teachers, and representatives of Al Kautsar High School students were present. In his speech, dR. Mahathir said that the making of the Al Kautsar High School Metaschool was a research and community service activity carried out by a team of UTI lecturers and students. UTI itself has implemented the lecture process and thesis examination via metaverse. UTI students are required to attend lectures via metaverse three times, and make transactions using bitcoin. “We are very welcome to develop this metaverse further. If there are competitions to make game applications or animations at the national level, we are also ready to provide guidance,” said Dr. Mahathir. Al Kautsar Foundation Chairman Wagiso thanked UTI for appointing Al Kautsar High School as the first school to use metaverse technology through the Metaschool platform. He recognized UTI’s excellence in the field of information and communication technology. UTI has been a regular winner of national and even international robotics competitions. “We want to learn from Teknokrat about this information and communication technology. Because, Al Kautsar continues to improve from manual to modern by utilizing information technology,” he said.

CoE Software Development and UKM Protek collaborate with the State Police School in developing assessment and training information system applications.

  On April 2, 2024, the Center of Excellence for Software Development (COE for Software Development), in collaboration with UKM PROTEK and under the auspices of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, participated in the “Cooperation Design Discussion Meeting” between the Lampung Police State Police School (SPN) and Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia. The purpose of this event was to discuss the development of the Lampung Police SPN application. This important meeting took place at Jl. Terusan Ryacudu No. 1, South Lampung, which is the location of the Lampung Police office. This activity is part of a strategic initiative to strengthen synergy between the academic world and law enforcement institutions, especially in the development of technology that supports police duties. In this meeting, various topics were discussed, including the importance of technological innovation in modernizing the education system at the Lampung Police SPN. The application that is designed is expected to be able to increase efficiency, transparency, and effectiveness in the implementation of various education and training programs organized by SPN. Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, through COE for Software Development and UKM PROTEK, is committed to providing technological solutions that are not only sophisticated but also tailored to the specific needs of SPN Polda Lampung. With this application, it is hoped that the administration and management processes at SPN can be carried out in a more structured manner and easily accessible to all parties involved. In addition, this discussion also discussed the potential for further collaboration in the future, which includes the development of other software as well as training and capacity building of human resources in the field of information technology for police personnel. This collaboration is a concrete step in an effort to support digital transformation in police institutions, especially in the SPN Polda Lampung environment. With support from the academic world, it is hoped that innovations like this can continue to be developed to support increasingly complex police tasks in the digital era. Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, through COE for Software Development and UKM PROTEK, demonstrates its commitment to encouraging technological development in various sectors, including in the fields of security and law enforcement. This is in line with the university’s vision to become a center for innovation and technological development that can contribute significantly to society. The meeting ended with an agreement to continue the next stages in the development process of the Lampung Police SPN application, with the hope that this collaboration will soon produce real results that are beneficial to both parties and the wider community.

Students of the S1 Study Program Computer Engineering won gold medals at the international competition DIIID 6th, 2024, University of Technology Mara, Johor Malaysia Branch

Students of the S1 Computer Engineering Study Program at Teknokrat University of Indonesia (UTI) won a gold medal at the International Competition for Digitalized International Invention, Innovation, and Design (6th DIIID) at Mara Cawangan Johor Technology University, Malaysia, in 2024. The gold medal was awarded to UTI students in the category “Science & Technology: Tertiary” for their technology, “Implementation of Smart Irrigation Based on AI and IoT to Increase Water Use Efficiency in South Lampung Farmer Group Chili Plantations.” The journey to this achievement is full of challenges and dedication. The team consists of Dian Tri Saputra, Rezi Dwi Agustian, Chafidz Asyad (S1 Computer Engineering), and Abiyyu Ikbar Fikri K. (S1 Sastra Inggris). Under the guidance of lecturers Styawati S.T., M.Cs., and Ridwan Mahenra, S.Kom., MCS. (AI), the team worked hard for months to develop intelligent irrigation systems based on AI and IoT. The system is designed to improve the efficiency of water use on the land of the peasantry group in southern Lampung. From research and development to field testing, everything is done carefully and enthusiastically to create innovative and applicable solutions. The competition was followed by various renowned universities from home and abroad. Among them are the Malaysian Technical University of Malaka, Urmia University/Faculty of Chemistry, MARA University of Technology, Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Polytechnic, Padang State University, Lampung University, and Jambi University. Through the hard work and innovation demonstrated, the team of the Indonesian Technokratic University has achieved the highest awards. This success shows that Indonesia’s Technocratic University is able to compete in the international arena with innovations that have an impact on society. “Thank you to the Indonesian Technocratic University, which has always supported and facilitated students to be able to create innovative developments that are beneficial and have an impact on society.”  

Head of Balitbangda Appreciates Business Exhibited by Students at Technocrat Academic Expo 2024

Head of Lampung Province Balitbangda, Dr. Ir. Hamartoni Ahadis expressed his appreciation to the Indonesian Technocrat University students who had the courage to show off the businesses they had created, both accessories and food and beverage businesses at the 2024 Technocrat Academic Expo (TAE), and also continued to improve and create technological innovations that have contributed to the needs of society. Technocrat Academic Expo held at the Dr. Student Center. HM Nasrullah Yusuf, 30-31 January 2024. This activity displays hundreds of student works and innovations which are made in the form of students’ results from their lectures in class which are implemented in works for the public to enjoy. Dr. Hamartoni hopes that this will be the first step for us as a society to have a business spirit that can be started as early as possible. So the hope is that this will also be the first step so that Indonesian Technocrat University students can develop their businesses so that they can create large employment opportunities.

Financial Planning for the Millennial Generation

Do you know about Financial Planning or financial planning? Currently, many people are discussing how important financial planning is in everyday life, both for individuals and at the business level. Financial Planning is a process for managing finances in order to achieve certain financial goals. Meanwhile, a Financial Planner is a person or institution that carries out a process to manage their finances either for themselves or to help other people manage their finances. Based on research, it was found that the average human life is 28,000 days or the equivalent of 76 years. From birth to 76 years of age, humans are divided into 4 life phases, including: – Phase 1: 0-20 years old, this first phase is the phase where humans are not yet productive because they are still in the stage of education and spend limited money only on playing and other expenses. – Phase 2: aged 21-40 years, this second phase is the phase where humans begin to be productive where humans have started to work and generate income, but the costs incurred also adjust, such as marriage costs, child costs, family costs and others. – Phase 3: age 41-60 years, this third phase humans are still in the productive phase where they can still generate income with costs that also adjust, such as children’s education costs, costs of buying children a house and others. – Phase 4: over 61 years of age, in this fourth phase humans return to being non-productive humans. This happens because humans are physically starting to get old and are not as strong as before so they cannot be productive and cannot generate maximum income, but the costs incurred In this phase there are even more, such as medical costs which are not cheap and so on.

Accounting is a science that studies the financial condition of a business or business which can be used as a basis for information in decision making which is utilized by internal and external parties of the company. For companies, by looking at accounting information, in the form of financial reports, the company can make decisions related to evaluating the results of the company’s operations during one period, whether the company made a profit, or whether the costs incurred were excessive or not. Apart from that, the company can also find out whether the company will seek funding sources by taking debt. Meanwhile, for parties external to the company, accounting information can be used as a means of making business decisions. For investors, accounting information can be used as a basis for making investments. For creditors, accounting information can be used as a basis for providing loans or debt. For the government, accounting information can be used as a basis for taxation for the public. The information obtained is in the form of financial information in the form of financial reports about the company’s financial condition which can provide future business prospects. This accounting information can be used by entrepreneurs or business people, starting from MSMEs, even open or public companies are required to make financial reports as a basis for accountability to issuers every year.

In today’s life Financial literacy is a person’s ability to understand and manage personal or family finances well. This includes the knowledge and skills needed to make informed financial decisions, such as choosing financial products, managing debt, creating a budget, and saving for the future. Financial literacy is very important because it can help someone understand how to manage money well, avoid frequent financial mistakes, and develop healthy habits in managing finances. In addition, with good financial literacy, one can prepare for a brighter future by developing the right investments and planning for retirement. Elements of financial literacy include understanding and knowledge of personal finance concepts, such as: 1. Budget: The ability to create a personal budget and manage expenses and income wisely 2. Thrift: The ability to save money by making appropriate expenditures and considering alternative options 3. Loans and credit: Understanding of the types of loans and credit and how to manage debt and repay loans 4. Investment: Understanding of investment, risks and returns as well as how to choose the right investment 5. Insurance: Understanding the types of insurance and their benefits to protect yourself and your family from financial risks 6. Financial planning: The ability to plan long-term finances and achieve financial goals 7. Digital literacy: The ability to use financial technology such as online banking, e-wallets and online investments 8. Financial risk management: Understanding of how to manage financial risks related to market changes, inflation and changes in Government policy.

Seminar Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship in Digital Era

Best Indonesian Teknokrat University PTS ASEAN continues to increase students’ knowledge and abilities with Enrichment Track Programs. Enrichment Track Programs themselves are programs initiated to support students in preparing for good careers in the future. In the Enrichment Track this time in collaboration with Bank Mandiri by providing a workshop on Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship in the Digital Era which was held in Class Auditorium A, Indonesian Teknokrat University, Saturday, October 14 2023. This activity was opened directly by the Deputy Chancellor 1 for Academic Affairs, Achmad Yudi Wahyudin, M.Pd. and attended by 223 students with speakers including: 1. Mr Andi Kurniawan (Priority Banking Manager) @andreandiak 2. Mrs. Anita Sari (Relationship Manager Priority Banking) 3. Mrs. Almira Devita Putri, MAB. (Lecturer of the Faculty of Economics and Business) 4. Maulidia Osviana (Head of Lampung Mandiri Sekuritas Branch) The workshop discussed how to understand financial literacy and become a successful young entrepreneur.
