Teknokrat introduces Metaverse for Education to students and teachers at SMK YPI AL Mubarak Sidomulyo in South Lampung.

Hello Champions, Teknokrat University, the Best Private Higher Education Institution in ASEAN, welcomed a visit from SMK YPI Al Mubarak (@smkypialmubarak_Sidomulyo) in South Lampung on Monday, September 4, 2023. The visit from SMK YPI Al Mubarak was received and opened by Dr. Ryan Randy, M.Kom., Vice Rector IV for Cooperation and General Affairs at Teknokrat University. During this visit, Teknokrat University conducted a workshop introducing metaverse technology for education and AI technology to 45 attending students and 5 accompanying teachers from the school. The introduction to Metaverse Technology for Education was delivered directly by the head developer of Metaverse at Teknokrat University, Yuri Rahmanto, M.Kom. Meanwhile, the introduction to AI technology was presented by the head of the ICT Center at Teknokrat University, Donaya Pasha, M.Kom. In addition to the workshop, SMK YPI Al Mubarak and Teknokrat University signed a memorandum of understanding to establish ongoing cooperation for community service. Dr. H. Mahathir Muhammad, SE., MM., Vice Rector of Teknokrat University, expressed gratitude to SMK YPI Al Mubarak for their trust and visit to Teknokrat University, enabling the sharing of knowledge and insights with their students. “Teknokrat University will continue its commitment to enhancing the quality of education in Indonesia, especially in Lampung Province. The rapid advancement of technology should prompt us to adapt and pursue it more swiftly,” stated Dr. Mahathir.

The visit from Angkasa Bandar Sribhawono Vocational High School was welcomed and opened directly by the Vice Rector IV for Cooperation & General Affairs of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, Dr. Ryan Randy, M.Comp. During this visit, Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia conducted a workshop on the introduction of Metaverse for Education technology for 20 students and 4 accompanying teachers who attended the visit. The introduction to Metaverse for Education technology was delivered by the head of the ICT Center at Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, Donaya Pasha, M.Comp. The Vice Rector of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, Dr. H Mahathir Muhammad, SE., MM., expressed gratitude to Angkasa Bandar Sribhawono Vocational High School for placing trust and making the visit to Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia to provide knowledge and insights to their students. “Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia will continue to be committed to improving the quality of education in Indonesia, especially in the province of Lampung. Technocrats Business Incubator Team Leads Selection of Financing for the P2MW Student Development Program

The proud news comes from the Technocratic University of Indonesia Business Incubator Team, which managed to pass the selection and obtain funding from the 2024 P2MW Student Building Program. The program is organized by the Directorate-General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek). On April 27, 2024, an official letter from the Buddhist Parliament was received by the UTI. This achievement is the result of the hard work and dedication of the students of Indonesian Technocratic University who have joined the Business Incubator Team. They’ve been through a rigorous selection process, ranging from preparing a mature business proposal to being judged eligible by a jury and successfully passing the selection. The Business Incubator team that succeeded in getting P2MW 2024 funding is CREX Farm Hydroponic Automation Products in Rooms Using UV Light, guided by Dr. Ryan Randy Suryono, S.Kom., M.Kom. The team is active in the fields of manufacturing and applied technology. As for his students who succeeded in achieving this achievement, they are Ryan Ajie Prasetyo (S1 Computer Engineering), Dian Tri Saputra (S1), Chafidz Asyad (S1 Computer Technology), Rezi Dwi Agustian (S3 Computer Engineering), and Rizky Dafa Khoiri (S4 Computer Engineering). They’re so proud and happy to get funding in P2MW, and this adds to the spirit of this business incubator. The program supports the college in building a partnership with the World of Business and Industry (DUDI) to create an experience-based entrepreneurship development ecosystem. (experiental learning). Dr. H. Mahathir Muhammad, SE., MM., Vice-Rector of the Indonesian Technocratic University, expressed his pride in the achievements achieved by the Technokratic Business Incubator Team. “This is proof that our campus is committed to giving birth to trustworthy and innovative young entrepreneurs,” he said. Dr. Mahathir hopes this P2MW funding can help the Technocrat Business Incubator Team develop its venture in a in a more advanced and sustainable manner.

This activity was opened directly by the Deputy Chancellor 1 for Academic Affairs, Achmad Yudi Wahyudin, M.P.D., and attended by 223 students, with speakers including:1. The National Champion of the Internet of Things Scientific Writing Competition UNPAD Agrotechnology Week

Indonesian Teknokrat University (UTI) has once again made achievements at the national level. Undergraduate students in Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, UTI, won National Champion in the Internet of Things Scientific Writing Competition (LKTI IoT) at Agrotechnology Week: National Dissemination and Agrocompetition (PANDA 2023) at Padjadjaran University on October 14, 2023. The team with the name “Sangju” consisted of three students, namely Mohammad Farrel Auguerra, Jefri Andri Rifai, and Akhmad Febriyo Febriyansyah. They were supervised directly by the Head of the Undergraduate Computer Engineering Study Program, Styawati, M.Cs. The following is a list of the winners of LKTI IoT Unpad 2023, including:1st place: Tasikmalaya University of Struggle2nd place: Semarang State University3rd Place: Panca Budi Development University (Medan)Hopeful champion: Indonesian Technocrat University The competition supervisor, Styawati, expressed her pride in the achievements achieved by Farrell and the team. “The achievements they achieved really made me proud, because from the start the preparations and ideas they carried out were full of enthusiasm and passion until finally they brought them to achieve the National Champion of Hope achievement. The Civil Engineering S1 Study Program Holds a Tensile Strength Test for Bridges Made of Balsa Wood

Teknokrat Indonesia University continues to support its students to be able to develop their potential according to their interests and talents. The S1 Civil Engineering Study Program carried out the Balsa Bridge Tensile Strength Test activity, which was attended by new civil engineering students in the class of 2023. The purpose of the activity is to provide basic knowledge to new students about the procedures for making bridges made from balsa wood, which will later be included in the bridge competition. The Vice Rector of Teknokrat Indonesia University, Dr. H. Mahathir Muhammad, SE, MM, said that this activity is a form of developing students’ abilities because civil engineering students must be able to calculate the strength of a building or bridge that will be designed. “This activity will be an experience and provision for civil engineering students later in the world of work because, as a designer of a building, you must be able to take into account the risks and possibilities of the building you design.” Dr. Mahathir said.

Excelleng Renewable Energy Center creates innovative electric go-kart vehicles

The Center for Excellence in New Renewable Energy (EBT) at Teknokrat University created the Go-Kart Electric Car, which is the result of research by the Center for Excellence in EBT to support Presidential Regulation Number 55 of 2019 concerning the acceleration of the battery-based electric motor vehicle program. Go-kart cars are the focus of research carried out by the Center for Excellence in EBT. . The kart is built using the FIA CIK standard frame. The go-kart motor here can go up to 120 kilometers per hour, and the main electrical components are the BLDC motor, battery, and Votol controller. In conducting the go-kart research, the EBT Teknokrat Center of Excellence was a lecturer at the UTI Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, chaired by Novia Utami Putri, MT, and its members, Elka Pranita, MT, and Ernando Rizki Dalimunthe, MT, and assisted by the Hanasta TVC Team (technocrat electric car team), which consists of 10 people and students from the Electrical Engineering Bachelor’s study program at the Teknokrat University. The go-kart has been designed to show the potential of electric vehicles in the world of racing. In this way, the TVC Hanasta Team succeeded in qualifying for the final round of the Senior Class National Electric Karting Race (Go Kart EV) Competition on December 15–17, 2023, at the Electric Vehicle (EV) Circuit, which was held at the Directorate General of Highways Ministry of PUPR’s Circuit. In his statement, the Vice Chancellor of the Teknokrat University, Dr. H. Mahtahir Muhammad, SE., MM.“This innovation is also a concrete step in supporting the vision of the Center for Excellence in EBT in accelerating the adoption and implementation of environmentally friendly energy solutions. The main feature of this electric go-kart involves the use of renewable energy sources, making it environmentally friendly and sustainable. Innovative batteries and charging systems quickly ensure reliable energy availability, while the electric engine provides high performance without leaving harmful emissions.”

The Ministry of Communication and Information once again appointed Teknokrat as the organizer of the Metaverse 102 workshop.

Hello Champions, Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia (UTI) has once again been entrusted by the Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia (@kemenkominfo), Nusa Meta (@nusameta.io), and WIR Group (@wirgroupid) to hold a metaverse 102 workshop at the Auditorium Building A, UTI, on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. This workshop aims to provide understanding and equip students with knowledge about metaverse development. Dr. Ryan Randy Suryono, M.Kom., Vice Rector IV for Cooperation and General Affairs at UTI, stated that this metaverse workshop is part of the digital talent scholarship 102 series, which follows up on the metaverse 101 workshop held last February. In an effort to provide students with experience in becoming digital metaverse creators, UTI collaborates with WIR Group, a company focusing on metaverse technologies like augmented reality (AR), virtual reality, and artificial intelligence. “We have established an MoU with Kominfo and WIR Group. WIR Group, appointed by Kominfo, is tasked with providing education and development of the metaverse in Indonesia,” said Dr. Ryan. This metaverse workshop is attended by 100 participants. During the event, they are taught about creating digital assets, understanding the Nusameta ecosystem, metaverse design documents, preparing and importing 3D assets to Nusastudio, and creating simple games. “We’ve made significant strides during our academic sessions. Our game programming has even ventured into determining its business processes, creating metaverse-based classrooms, and now even developing metaverse-based tourism,” Dr. Ryan continued.

Digital Literacy in Society 5.0: Increase the Potential of Ai and the Metaverse

Hello Champions… The third day of PKKMB was successfully conducted, and during General Lecture 5, with the theme “Digital Literacy in Society 5.0: Increase the Potential of AI and the Metaverse,” it was delivered directly by the Vice Rector IV for Cooperation and General Affairs of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, Dr. Ryan Randy Suryono, M.Comp., on Saturday, September 23, 2023. In the current digital era, students are required to quickly adapt to technological advancements, as failure to do so may make it challenging for them to secure good job opportunities, given that technology has already taken over many aspects. The Vice Rector IV for Cooperation and General Affairs emphasized the crucial role of students in the progress of technological development. Artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) are currently undergoing rapid development. Therefore, students must promptly learn and actively participate in the development of AI and IoT technologies. Dr. Ryan conveyed in his lecture that Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia is continually transforming education, particularly in technological knowledge. Right from the beginning, students at Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia are introduced to and provided with knowledge and learning about AI and IoT technologies, enabling them to become developers in these fields rather than mere users. “Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia has proven to apply and pioneer the development of AI and Internet of Things technologies in Lampung. These technologies have also been implemented for the benefit of the wider community to ease daily tasks, such as the use of IoT technology to monitor the health of cattle, automatic feeding of Nile Tilapia using IoT technology, IoT technology for air temperature checks, and much more,” stated Dr. Ryan. Furthermore, in addition to the implementation of IoT technology, Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia received recognition from Tribun Lampung for being the first campus to conduct thesis defense sessions via the metaverse.
