SMK 17 Sukoharjo Pringsewu traveled to Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia with the aim of introducing college programs to students, in order to expand their knowledge and understanding. The visit was held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, from 09.00 to 11.00 WIB, located at the GA Auditorium on the campus. The event was attended by around a hundred people, consisting of students, students, and accompanying teachers. The group was welcomed by a representative of the Rector of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, Dr. HM Nasrullah Yusuf SE MBA, who was represented by Dr. Heri Kuswoyo MHum, Dean of the Faculty of Letters and Education, and accompanied by Parjito MCs. The series of events of the visit consisted of a presentation on the introduction of metaverse technology and AI technology delivered by Yuri Rahmanto MKom. Furthermore, there was a visit and introduction to the facilities and infrastructure owned by Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia. The students and teachers were invited to tour several places at Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, including the aviary, solar panels, dinosaur landmarks, UTI Jurassic, Dr. HM Nasrullah Yusuf Student Center, UTI learning studio, FTIK, FSIP, and FEB buildings. Himmatus Sholihah SIP MPd, Head of SMK 17 Sukoharjo Pringsewu, expressed her delight at the opportunity to visit Teknokrat. She revealed that the students were very impressed with the facilities there. In addition to the impressive buildings, the other infrastructure facilities are also very comprehensive and impressive. Dr. Heri Kuswoyo MHum, who represented the Rector, also expressed his gratitude for the visit. According to him, Teknokrat strongly supports all forms of cooperation aimed at improving the quality of Indonesia’s human resources, especially in Lampung. Dr. H. Mahathir Muhammad SE MM, Vice Rector, also responded positively to the visit. He was very happy to be a good host for the students.

Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia continues to innovate in the development of the learning process. One of its latest steps is to implement the world’s first thesis examination session via Metaverse. By utilizing Metaverse technology, students can attend the thesis examination session virtually, without having to be physically present in the courtroom. This not only makes it easier for students, but also provides an exciting new experience in undergoing the academic process. Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia is committed to continue introducing innovative ideas like this to improve the quality of learning and student experience. Metaverse is a concept that describes a virtual world that transcends the boundaries of time and space. The term refers to an immersive digital environment, where users can interact and communicate with virtual worlds that are connected to the real world. The Metaverse offers a more immersive and interactive experience, allowing users to explore, interact and collaborate with others through their avatars. The concept encompasses various platforms and technologies such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality systems, which provide near-real-life experiences. Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia made history by conducting the first thesis examination session in the world through Metaverse. A student named Wayan Kresna Yogi Swara (S1 Informatika) became the first student to undergo this thesis examination session with his supervisor Dr. (can) Heni Sulistiani, M.Kom. and examiner Dr. Si. Dedi Darwis, M.Kom.. In the trial, Wayan was able to deliver a virtual thesis presentation, interact with the supervisor and examiner, and answer questions smoothly.

Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia Best PTS ASEAN continues to support its students to be able to develop character and immediately adapt to technological advances. Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia through the Informatics Student Association (HIMA) formed the Metaverse Community and held a Metaverse Lecture Implementation Workshop. In the workshop, students learned about the mechanism for implementing Metaverse lectures with discussions including: 1. Creating an Avatar in the Teknokrat metaverse 2. Insight into NFT assets 3. Try out the Teknokrat metaverse using mobile phones, laptops, and VR Glass 4. Simulation of Metaverse Lecture This workshop activity was delivered directly by the Head of Metaverse Developer of Teknokrat Indonesia University, Yuri Rahmanto, M.Kom. to Informatics Study Program students. “This is the first step of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia in socializing Metaverse Lectures to Students, we started this socialization with HIMA Informatika so that students who have participated in this simulation can also teach and simulate to other students.” Said the Head Developer of Metaverse Teknokrat. Vice Rector of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia Dr. H Mahathir Muhammad, SE, MM. gave appreciation to the Student Association for starting to hold a workshop on the application of metaverse lectures to its members. “As students, as well as institutions, we must be quick in adapting to the rapid development of technology, lest we be left behind and only become users in technological advances. Of course, students in particular must be able to take a role in technological progress.” Dr. Mahathir said.

Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia gave a workshop on the introduction and application of Metaverse for Education and assembling simple drones to more than 40 students and teachers of SMKN 1 Merbau Mataram South Lampung. on this occasion one of the Lecturers of the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia Donaya Pasha, M.Kom together with school representatives of SMKN 1 Merbau Mataram South Lampung signed a Memorandum of Understanding for ongoing cooperation. The introduction and application of Metaverse for Education was given by the Lecturer of Metaverse Developer of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia Donaya Pasha, M.Kom. together with 2 Assistant Lecturers introduced and provided Education about Metaverse for Education and Assembling Simple Drones. Vice Rector Dr. H. Mahathir Muhammad SE., MM. hopes that this activity can be a trigger for students at SMKN 1 Merbau Mataram South Lampung to be able to increase their interest in continuing their studies at a campus that supports their interests and talents.

Uiversitas Teknokrat Indonesia Best PTS ASEAN became the First Pioneer University in collaboration with the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology Holds Metaverse Introduction Workshop. Thursday, February 16, 2023. This activity is the first step of cooperation between Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia and the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology to develop metaverse development in Indonesia… In this workshop, Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia represented by the Vice Rector of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, Dr. H Mahathir Muhammad, SE., MM. signed a collaboration with representatives from Kemkominfo. The introduction to the metaverse given by the Nusameta team who are members of the Wir Group was organized by Digitalent Kominfo in Thematic Academy. The workshop was attended by 400 participants consisting of students and public. Dr. H Mahathir Muhammad, SE. MM. welcomed this organized activity. “This activity is a step to welcome the advancement of Metaverse for Education technology in Indonesia, Previously, Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia had carried out community service, especially students in Lampung Province in introducing Metaverse for Education to 65 Schools in Lampung Province”.
