Teknokrat University continues to support its students to increase their experience in national and international competitions. The Teknokrat University Electric Go-kart Car Team named “TVC Hanasta” advanced to the Senior Class Final of the National Electric Karting Race (Go Kart EV) Competition, 15-17 December 2023 in Bandung. The final of this competition saw 8 teams from all over Indonesia such as ITB, UPI, Polban, and UB compete on the PUPR EV circuit. The Hanasta TVC team was guided directly by lecturers at the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, Teknokrat University: Novia Utami Putri, M.T. and Ernando Rizki Dalimunthe, M.T. At the launch of the competition, the Electric Car Team was given direction and motivation directly from the Deputy Chancellor of the Teknokrat University, Dr. H Mahathir Muhammad, SE., MM. so that you can compete until the end with maximum fighting spirit. “Encourage the Hanasta team, compete in a sporting manner and fight until the end. Don’t forget before leaving, to call your parents in the village for permission and ask for their blessing so that the competition runs smoothly and you come home with the National Champions Cup.” Said Dr. Mahathir. Teknokrat University, asks for prayers and support from the people of Lampung, especially so that Indonesian Technocrat University students can become champions in the Electric Karting Race event and make Lampung Province proud at the national level.

Competition held at the PUPR EV Circuit by the Directorate of Road and Bridge Engineering, Ministry of PUPR in Bandung, 16-17 December 2023. Novia said that her party was grateful for the support of the Technocrat Education Foundation, Chancellor Dr HM Nasrullah Yusuf SE MBA, the vice chancellors, and other parties who had supported. The Teknokrat University team consists of 10 students. They are Rico Bagus Satrio (team leader), Ananda Satrio Wicaksono (racer), Gusti Ayu Made Ulandari (treasurer), Wayan Rio Adi Pratama (mechanic), Bagus Roudhotul Firdaus (mechanic), Ramadani Ahmad Prayoga (electrical), Usman Nur Ikhsan (electrical), Hegen Persada (body design), Deni Purwoko (mechanical), and Adam Yakriya Puri (body design). Deputy Chancellor of the Teknokrat University Dr H Mahathir, SE., MM. welcomes this achievement. Moreover, the competitors are quite strong and have prepared themselves very thoroughly. Dr. Mahathir said, Technocrat continues to be committed to supporting all extracurricular activities that will have an impact on the progress of the campus and region in the future.

Excelleng Renewable Energy Center creates innovative electric go-kart vehicles

The Center for Excellence in New Renewable Energy (EBT) at Teknokrat University created the Go-Kart Electric Car, which is the result of research by the Center for Excellence in EBT to support Presidential Regulation Number 55 of 2019 concerning the acceleration of the battery-based electric motor vehicle program. Go-kart cars are the focus of research carried out by the Center for Excellence in EBT. . The kart is built using the FIA CIK standard frame. The go-kart motor here can go up to 120 kilometers per hour, and the main electrical components are the BLDC motor, battery, and Votol controller. In conducting the go-kart research, the EBT Teknokrat Center of Excellence was a lecturer at the UTI Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, chaired by Novia Utami Putri, MT, and its members, Elka Pranita, MT, and Ernando Rizki Dalimunthe, MT, and assisted by the Hanasta TVC Team (technocrat electric car team), which consists of 10 people and students from the Electrical Engineering Bachelor’s study program at the Teknokrat University. The go-kart has been designed to show the potential of electric vehicles in the world of racing. In this way, the TVC Hanasta Team succeeded in qualifying for the final round of the Senior Class National Electric Karting Race (Go Kart EV) Competition on December 15–17, 2023, at the Electric Vehicle (EV) Circuit, which was held at the Directorate General of Highways Ministry of PUPR’s Circuit. Mahtahir Muhammad, SE., MM.“This innovation is also a concrete step in supporting the vision of the Center for Excellence in EBT in accelerating the adoption and implementation of environmentally friendly energy solutions. The main feature of this electric go-kart involves the use of renewable energy sources, making it environmentally friendly and sustainable. Innovative batteries and charging systems quickly ensure reliable energy availability, while the electric engine provides high performance without leaving harmful emissions.”
